What are the requirements for permanent residency?
  • Copies of the personal details pages of your (valid) passport.
  • Copy of your immigration pass.
  • Copy of your ID (if applicable).
  • Change of name certificate or deed poll, if applicable.
  • Copies of your highest educational certificates. You must include all tertiary certifications.
  • Passport-sized digital picture which is in line with Singapore photo requirements.
  • A signed declaration form.
  • A letter from the employer stating your position, salary, and start of employment.
  • Pay slips from the last six months.
  • Testimonials from any previous employers stating your position, the duration of your employment and last salary (EP/S Pass applicants only).
  • If self-employed: Valid Business Registration Certificate showing the names of all business partners and any licenses relating to your occupation.

When do I renew my work visa?
4-6 months prior to visa expiration, around 1.5 years after issuance because of the 2-year duration period.
Can dependents work under the registration process? If so, do they have limitations and requirements to do so?
Spouses or partners can access employment but with some restrictions. There are conditions which need to be met in order to access employment.

Family members other than the partner or spouse have access to employment via their dependent pass.
Are same-sex spouses considered dependents?
Same-sex spouses are not recognized as dependents.
What, if any, deregistration requirements are required?
The Employment Pass must be formally cancelled prior to the employee’s final departure from Singapore.
