Over the recent holiday season, the TSA reported as many as two million air travelers per day. These are levels that have not been reached since the beginning of the pandemic. While more and more people are flying for personal reasons, business reasons, and relocation, the need to provide a negative test is a common requirement for international flights. While COVID 19 testing at designated public sites or doctors’ offices are most often free (paid for by the government), testing for travel (e.g., at the airport or for non illness related reasons) often comes at a cost. When the need to travel is business related and there are testing fees involved, who is responsible for paying those fees?
